Hesoo graduated from New York University in 2014 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She furthered her education by obtaining a Pilates teaching certification from Polestar Pilates, known for its comprehensive methodology that integrates the latest research and techniques from orthopedics, sports medicine, and movement science.

What sets Hesoo apart is her specialization as a board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist. With this qualification, she has the expertise to create personalized programs specifically tailored for older adults, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their fitness journey.

Before opening Motion Heal Studio, Hesoo worked as a physical therapist at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City, the top-ranked orthopedic hospital in the nation. Additionally, she worked at a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Miami, Florida.

Hesoo's passion for dance led her to discover physical therapy and Pilates when she attended the prestigious Jacob's Pillow summer dance program. There, she witnessed a physical therapist employing Pilates as a method of rehabilitation. This sparked her interest in the healing aspects of movement and Pilates. With her background as a dancer, she possesses a keen eye for proper form and an intuitive understanding of the body's capabilities and limitations.

At Motion Heal Studio, Hesoo adopts a holistic approach to wellness, focusing on the entire body. Her goal is to provide high-quality, evidence-informed care to her clients.
